Pablo S. Corona, MD, PhD (1976; Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Spain) is an orthopedic surgeon, member of the Osteoarticular Septic Surgical Unit (UCSO), belonging to the Orthopaedic Surgery Department at University Hospital Valld´Hebron of Barcelona. He is PhD in surgery from the Universidad Autónoma of Barcelona (UAB). His unit is national reference-center for complex infections of the musculoskeletal system (CSUR program of the Ministry of Health). Dr. Corona performs his private activity at HM Delfos Hospital and at Pilar Quirón Hospital, both in the city of Barcelona. His daily clinical practice focuses, monographically, on the resolution of complex problems in the field of musculoskeletal infections and on the reconstruction of large bone defects, deformities and amputee osseointegration, areas where Dr. Corona is national and international reference. He is currently the principal investigator of the septic pathology study group of the Valld´Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and author of more than 50 articles in international core journals and book chapters of the specialty (Pubmed y Researchgate). Dr. Corona is an active teacher and works as a consultant for the most prestigious companies in the sector.
